BUSINESS START-UP PROGRAMMES

Do you have an exciting business idea, but need help and support in getting it off the ground?

If you are thinking of starting your own business you are in good company - a very important share of the UK's wealth and employment is generated by small companies.

The Business School Staffordshire University are offering the budding entrepreneur the opportunity to start the business in low-cost, prestigious premises with full support throughout the first vital years of growth. We believe that this new approach offers one of the best means of establishing the new business and improving its chances of survival and growth for the future.

We currently have 4 exciting schemes which aim to give help and support to potential students / students or graduates wishing to start their own business.
 
Enterprise Fellowship Scheme (EFS) For graduates, postgraduates and alumni from any Faulty within Staffordshire University
 
Student Placements for Entrepreneurs in Education (SPEED) For current students of any Faculty within Staffordshire University 
 
There are limited places on both schemes and candidates will need to demonstrate that they:
    •    Are able to dedicate the time required to develop their business idea
    •    Have the ambition, determination, creativity and desire to make it happen
    •    Have a proven market need for their business idea
    •    Can show the growth potential of their business proposal.
Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship

Foundation Degree in Business StartUp (2 year programme)

The problem for the "apprentice" is where to start - do you go to college or university to learn all about it first, or do you just go ahead (hoping it will work out!)? Now you can do both! Staffordshire University offers a unique, ground-breaking approach to getting a new business going; focussing on the business itself while at the same time offering the opportunity to achieve a qualification.
